Fall Sports Recap – Volleyball
November 8, 2019
BY MCKENZIE ZOBRIST AND OLVIA SIMPSON
This year, volleyball was what senior captain Megan Kromer described as “a reconstructive season.” The team started off the season with a new coach, Brooke Logan, who brought change and growth. And although their 9-12 record might not show it, in the end, 6 of 12 players placed in CHLs.
All three of the captains placed in the CHLs.
Megan Brehese placed 6th for blocks (total of 75) and 8th in digs (total of 247). Megan Kromer placed 7th in assists (total of 237) and 20th in serves (total of 36). Sydney Price placed 8th in assists (total of 187). Amy Mueller, Liv Ferry, and Anazia Robertson also had successful seasons. Mueller placed 13th for passing (total of 395) and 9th for digs (total 236), Ferry placed 20th in digs (total of 181), and Robertson placed 18th for blocks (total of 26)
Kromer said “My favorite part about volleyball is probably just the teammates. I think it’s a lot of fun when you can find a team you can play well together because it just makes everything easier and more fun when you know each other well.”
