With a 16-0 record, a CHL title, and #1 ranking in the state, Boys Soccer has had their most successful season in the team’s history.
Team captain, James McGrory credits this success to the team’s overall chemistry and skill. He said “I genuinely think that this is the best team we have had based on individual skill and overall team play.”
Some team members proved their skills by placing in multiple CHL categories. Luke Brothers placed 1st for points (55 total), 2nd for goals (19), and 1st for assists (17). Martin Eisenhower placed 5th for points (32) and 4th for goals (13). Max Miller placed 2nd for shutouts (9) and 5th for saves (55).
McGrory credits some of the success in team chemistry to the impact of COVID. He said “COVID took away a lot of our summer conditioning and supplemented it with practices with coaches which has allowed us to work on our teamplay a lot more.”
The team has their first postseason tournament game on Thur., Oct. 22nd at home and at 7 pm.
