Girls Soccer has had a successful year with a 13-0-3 record and 1st place in the CHL.
Senior Captain, Marley Megowen believes their success is due to the team’s atmosphere. She said, “everyone is super positive and the team isn’t divided, where everyone is super close.” She also credits the coaches, saying, “Haney and Bill both push us to our full potential at all times, while allowing us to have fun and joke around.”
Certain team members have also excelled in their positions. With Maddy Murphy placing 5th in the CHL for assists (with 10) and Erica Dewey placing 1st for shutouts (9 total).
The team has avoided problems with COVID. Abbie Lyons, Senior Captain, said “Luckily we have not really been impacted from COVID besides wearing a mask at all times off the field.”
On Sat., Oct. 24th the team will participate in their first postseason tournament game, where they will compete against Clark Montessori. The game is home and it starts at 2 pm.
