Things to Know Week of 11/2-11/8

What to Know:
- National Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd. Polls will be open 6:30 am – 7:30 pm.
- The MHS Blueprint is hosting a campfire story contest. Submit your stories by the end of the day Monday, Nov. 2 to be considered.
- Seniors! Make sure to check your email for additional things you need to submit after you apply to colleges.
- For juniors, there is a college planning program for students and parents on November 4 at 6:30 pm. Check your email from CCPC or Schoology CCPC Course for more information about the Zoom Meeting.
- Sports:
- Football lost to Springfield Shawnee (21-7) on Sat., Oct. 31st
- Girls Cross Country placed 7th at regionals. Lily Bauer placed 7th out of 90 runners, qualifying her for state
- Boys Cross Country played 3rd (with 88 points), qualifying them for state. Sam Beeler was 5th out of 99 runners. Bennett Turan was 11th, Ben Fahnestock 15th, & Santi Biro 17th
- Boys Soccer won against Yellow Springs (4-3) in the District Finals on Thur., Oct. 29th
- Girls beat Bethel (2-0) in the District Finals on Sat., Oct. 31st
- Upcoming sporting events:
- Boys Soccer will play Troy Chrisitian at home on Wed., Nov. 4th at 7 pm, in the regional semi-finals
- Girls Soccer will play Madeira at home on Tues., Nov. 3rd at 7 pm in the regional semi-finals
- Tech Tip:
- Did you know you can tag people in a Google Docs comment? If you type an @ or a + in front of a person’s Gmail address, it will send them an email alert that you want them to look at that specific comment. You can also assign a specific comment to that person with the Assign checkbox (great for group work).
