There are some amazing Christmas movies. As years have passed Netflix has released original Christmas movies, and I made it my mission to find the best one. Here’s a comprehensive review of the best Netflix original Christmas movie, Klaus.

Klaus: I wasn’t expecting a lot from this movie. I severely underestimated it. Klaus is a complete retelling and retooling of the Christmas mythos. It follows Jesper, a lazy heir to the postmaster. Jesper is tasked with collecting 6000 letters in the isolated town of Smeerendsburg, so that he won’t lose his inheritance. Little does he know that there’s been a bloodthirsty feud between two families in the town, hindering any amicable feelings for years. It’s so refreshing to see Christmas portrayed in such a wondrous and magical way. Every detail is covered, whether they be small motions and character moments in the animation which is stunning all around, or the explanations for certain traditions. Each element has its place and they all come together to make an amazing cohesive story. There are specific points that are cliche, but the witty dialogue, expansive setting, and attention to detail make this movie perfect for any time of year when you want a little Christmas spirit.
