September 5th, 2012, the incoming freshmen made their first official step into the high school, effectively starting a new era in each one of their lives.  Since their start four weeks ago, the freshmen have become more and more accustomed to their new school, but it wasn’t easy from the start.

Noah Dill, of Mariemont, explains that the transition has been “hard” thus far. Dill had a rough first day, but fellow freshman Rory Mcgoff certainly had a very different experience.

McGoff explains that the only difference is making the drive to the high school instead of the slightly longer route to the Junior High.

“Instead of going over there, you go over here, and that’s pretty cool,” says McGoff.

Some students expressed concern about how to find their way around the uniquely built school.

“I was kind of confused on how to get to classes,” freshman Jeffrey Timmers explains.

This has been a problem for many incoming freshmen, with a new and complex school to find their way around.  Dill had trouble locating the bathrooms.  Freshmen are infamous for their lack of experience in going around the halls, and have even been known to walk on the wrong side of it.

“They haven’t been driving yet, so they don’t really know which side of the hall to walk on, and they always get in my way.  It is very annoying,” explains junior Jack Reed.
