An unnamed criminal forced a soft lockdown on Mariemont High School after an act of alleged domestic violence led to theft, and eventually a firearm arm, near school grounds.
Nearing the end of first period, an announcement by Principal Dr.Renner asked that all doors be locked and students remain in classrooms. The reason why: a recently arrested criminal who has yet to be named. The current theory is that the perpetrator got into a violent altercation with his partner. Then, the authorities were called, and the man fled from the scene on a bicycle that he had stolen from an unknown location. The man was on the run when lieutenant Rodney Naticchioni located the criminal, only to realize he had a firearm, which led to the lockdown.
After backup was called in, the man fled on foot for a short while before cooperating with authorities, releasing the lockdown for students.
