Can you read this? Neither can the Warpath staff. This is a comment, apparently in Russian, that we received on an article.

When someone comments on the Warpath website, the staff has the option either to approve the comment, and thus make it visible to the Warpath readers, or to trash it, banishing it to the digital underworld. Comments like this one, known as spam, are destined to spend eternity in the “Trashed” section.

Such spam comes in many outlandish forms. Most of the time they’re in English (even then they don’t always make sense), and almost always they try to get you to click on something. The consequences of clicking range from viewing a bad advertisement to receiving a computer virus. Thus, the Warpath never approves spam comments and they never become visible to the readers.

However, this is not to say that spam is a bad thing. Indeed, the comments are frequently hilarious due to their awful attempts to use English.

Thus, in celebration of spam, the Warpath has compiled a list of some of our favorite spam comments of late. Read on to get an idea of what we get every week by the hundreds and check out the picture for a detailed analysis of the types of comments we receive.
