On Friday, October 2nd I had the opportunity to sit down with Mark Lippert, who is a Mariemont alumn and Ambassador to South Korea. After graduating from MHS, Lippert eventually went on to study political science at Stanford University and earn a masters in international policy studies. Since then, Lippert has worked as a senior foreign policy advisor for Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign, an intelligence officer for the Navy SEALS, and has recently been appointed to the U.S. Ambassador to South Korea.
