Things to Know Week of 11/30-12/6

What to Know:

  1. The highschool has moved to tier 2. Blue students will report to school on Tuesday, December 1 – Wednesday, December 2 and Gold students will report to school on Thursday, December 3 – Friday, December 4 this week. 
  2. All winter sports will be suspended until Sunday.
  3. Seniors, don’t forget to submit your senior photo, baby photo, and quote to the yearbook by Dec., 11: https://sites.google.com/mariemontschools.org/yearbook
  4. SOSMont is fundraising for the Evan Barnes Memorial. To help, you can purchase a bracelet here by Dec., 11.
  5. Tech Tip: Have you noticed your iPad charging slowly or losing charge too fast recently?
    • This can be caused by several things and is particularly likely to happen after your iPad has updated to a new iOS. Some general things to try are force updating your iOS and turning off your iPad and doing an overnight charge. You can also go Settings>Battery and click on the timeline to see which apps are consuming battery at which time. If the apps listed aren’t apps you were using then, it may be Background App Refresh causing the issue. To check, go to Settings>General>Background App Refresh, and turn it off. Then wait a day or two and see if the iPad battery charges and holds a charge better. If none of the above works, stop by the library and let us know so we can put in a helpdesk request for you.
