Charlie Tully Celebrating in the endzone

Mariemont had an astounding victory against Blanchester winning Saturday with a score of 40-14. The entire team contributed to the win, with athletic powerhouse Max Tepe having 109 rushing yards and 38 receiving yards with 2 touchdowns on the night. Tepe wasn’t the only one putting points on the board: Connor Souders, Davis Whitmore, and Ethan Malafa each had a touchdown respectively.

The driving force and your Mariemont athlete of the week is none other than the orchestrator and QB1, Charlie Tully. Charlie (also known as C-Train) threw for 209 yards, 4 touchdowns, and was 14/24 from the field. He rushed 3 times for an average of 2.7 yards and pushed not only the offense forward but also made big moves on defense. He posted one forced fumble that he recovered and locked his man up when posted at the corner.

Charlie was put into a situation where he had to succeed and has proven himself to be a true pocket QB showing off that sneaky athleticism and cannon of an arm. Mariemont plays at Roger Bacon at 7 pm on Saturday for the 2nd round of the playoffs.
