Spring is in the air: pollen, Senioritis, and most importantly, love. Back by popular demand, the Warpath Bachelorette has created a third season, bound to leave raw emotion, tears, rose petals, and Axe body spray cans in its wake.
Playing the part of the Lady is MHS senior Mallory Widecan: varsity cheerleader, voted Best Dressed and Most Likely to be studying by her peers (fashionable and smart).
But to gain her love, the young men of Mariemont High School are going to have to giddee-up to win over this cowgirl’s heart.
“I’m looking for a cowboy, or at least someone with a little Southern twang,” Widecan states. In addition, Widecan overall enjoys a down-to-Earth picnic in the park.
She admits that a little blue box from Tiffany’s would make her giddy, but a man she can have a good wholesome time with is what it really takes.
The gentlemen vying for her heart each possess unique character traits, features, and will battle with a bloodthirsty rage for what it takes to receive the Final Rose. Let’s meet the men:
Cole Decamp:
This senior man may best be known for his days on the football and lacrosse fields, but he is aiming to show to Mallory that he is more than just a jock.
“At the touch of love, every man becomes a poet,” Decamp explained. He believes that he is recognized throughout the school as a “nomad of love,” but would love to settle down with a classy lady such as Mallory.
Decamp believes that he, “hides his sensitive heart in the body of a burly lumberjack. Come live in my heart and body and pay no rent.”
Nate Wagner:
Coming off of a State Championship, who wouldn’t be feeling confident?
Our second senior contestant is looking to woo Mallory with his svelte swimmer’s physique, and his flashy State Champ bling.Wagner reveals that his secrets to winning over a lady all lie in the approach.“Well, I start a conversation with them of course, but then I have to point out why they should be interested in me… something about how I am incredibly good looking and that I look amazing in a Speedo and then I drop the bomb: ‘Oh would you like to see my state swimming ring? Oh yes I am a state champion swimmer.'”
Lakmal Ekanayake:
Musical, athletic, exotic, and most importantly, a secret weapon.
“I have a pet elephant. I tell the ladies this and they want to know all about me. The rest is history.”
Ekanayake loves to use his Sri Lankan nationality to his advantage, capturing a girl’s curiosity and leading to deep conversations that kick-start a relationship.
A member of the band and soccer team, Ekanayake is determined to win the heart of Widecan.
John Peck:
Call this sophomore Casanova, because young John Peck is pulling out all the sweet and smooth moves to be Mallory’s Number One.
“It’s easy. Turn on the Peck Charm. Hook. Line. Sinker.”
Peck even brushed up on his freshman biology to liken his relationship with Widecan.
“Mallory is a Venus Fly Trap; she caught my heart.”
William Majchszak:
Can Will finally be the freshman to win the Bachelorette after Hans Hinebaugh’s dash to the Final Rose Ceremony in 2011?
Well, if that is to be, he may have to take a few less shifts at the animal shelter and spend less time reading to the blind (his favorite pastime activities).
In addition to his caring heart, he likens his facial features to the offspring of Channing Tatum and Jesus.
“My mom also says I’m really outgoing…”
